Sandra Cisneros - "Geraldo No Last Name"
In Mr. Lewenstein's class, we read a Sandra Cisneros narrative essay. It was cause and effect. Sandra said something like everything she is today is the product of being born an only daughter in a Mexican family of nine children. We discussed the conflict between Sandra and her dad. Sandra was "New School." Her father was "Old School." They clashed all the time. Sound familiar? I liked it so much I went out and bought House on Mango Street. Here is another one of her stories:
